Current Rabbits In Care

Rabbits found on this page are those that are not ready for adoption yet, most are looking for either long-term fosters or foster to adopt situations.
Sweetie’s Rescue provides everything you need for your foster bun, except fresh veggies.
Fostering can be a very rewarding experience. Fosters are the backbone of every rescue and make all the difference for these rabbits. Are you able to join our team?

  • Thumper

Thumper has had a rough go. Despite being friendly and outgoing he didn’t receive the proper care he deserved in his home and was surrendered to the rescue. We are grateful he is here even though we don’t usually take owner surrenders.

This affectionate boy is very happy to be out of a tiny hutch and in a warm home with living space where he can move. He is also quite happy to try out all the soft beds and is learning how nice it is to lounge in a comfy bed while enjoying a yummy snack. This boy has now been neutered but still needs some more time to recover from both his surgery and his previous neglect before he’s ready for adoption.

  • Misty *

Misty came into the rescue April 2025 after she was found dumped outside in West Lorne. She seems to be around a year old and is a small rex. She is a sweet sweet girl who loves to snuggle and has the softest fur you can imagine. She doesn’t photograph the best but I promise she is adorable.

This sweet girl has been through a rollercoaster ride with her medical journey and on top of her EC diagnosis she is now dealing with some ongoing skin issues. We have a great vet team and are trying to get to the bottom of what’s going on with this lady before she can be available for adoption.

    * Misty has been confirmed EC positive which will require her to only be adoptable to either a single rabbit home or to a home with another EC positive bun. EC is not a life sentence with treatment but is a lifelong condition that will need to be monitored.
