Current Rabbits In Care

Sweet Rosie is a gorgeous little old soul. She was rescued in Chatham as a stray and was not in great shape on intake. She’s spent quite a bit of time at the vet but we are hoping that she’s finally on the right track now.

She’s currently staying at the main rescue while she continues recovering from re-occurring abscesses and an emergency life saving spay surgery. Once we are sure her infections have cleared and she’s more stable she will receive her vaccine and be ready to move to a foster or foster to adopt home.

Beverly is a lucky girl, after being dumped in Dresden she was rescued by a good samaritan who witnessed her being attacked by a cat.

This girl is possibly a Flemish but right now she’s just a tiny baby so we’ll have a better idea of future size as she grows and recovers. She came in with a traumatic eye injury and did end up needing her right eye removed. Recovery from that had a few set backs but she’s been approved and got her spay surgery and is in the recovery stage now. She is now in a foster to adopt placement. Congrats Beverly.

Chaos was brought in from an unsafe outdoor housing situation. Though he is safe now in a foster home he has some lingering issues to deal with from his previous living conditions. We are working closely with our vets to get him healthy and ready for adoption in the future.

Once we get this little boy further stabilized he’ll be available for a foster to adopt placement. He still needs to grow and mature a bit before he can be neutered anyway so we’ve got time to get these issues resolved for him.

Foxy came in from an outdoor hoarding case with her sister Morticia and another unrelated bun. This beautiful girl is going to be a bigger bun but she’s a sweet and curious soul. She is in a loving foster home now and will make someone an amazing family member in the future.

She still needs to grow up a bit yet before she can be safely spayed but she has received her vaccination and is available for a foster to adopt placement to the right home.

This gorgeous little blue eyed lady was caught outside after she was dumped in Chatham. Likely a little easter bunny purchase that someone got bored with. So sad the amount of babies that have been caught this year but this one at least is now safe.
She has a foster to adopt placement now where she’ll grow and settle while she waits for future vetting and eventual adoption.

Little Morticia came into rescue with her sister Foxy and another unrelated bun; Theo. This lady is quite big for her age so we initially thought she was much older and booked her in for her emergency spay since she’d been outside with at least one male bun. However the vet discovered that she was much younger then expected so was unable to spay her. Luckily this beautiful little girl already has a foster to adopt placement lined up so she will get to relax and decompress with her new family until she’s ready for further vetting.

One of Roxy’s six children, Bandit has now been weaned and moved into his foster home. He is very loved and his foster says that he has a really great personality. He is curious, brave, social and silly and he’s doing quite well with his litter habits too. Here he will continue to grow up with lots of love and mature while he waits to be old enough for his vetting. Once he’s been vaccinated and neutered he’ll be officially ready for adoption.

Little Gizmo was found outside in Komoka, in the same area that Striker was found. It’s likely that the two are related but fortunately this boy is in much better shape then Striker.

This little boy is so young to have already been dumped and does have some mild medical consequences to his time outdoors that we are currently dealing with. However he is settling into his foster to adopt home now while he grows and waits for future vetting.

Rudy is one of two lucky baby buns that were rescued in Alvinston after they were dumped outside. We are so happy that this little lady is now safe inside especially given how bright and visible she would be to predators.

One of the volunteers that helped catch this little fell in love with her and so she is now safe and settled there in a foster to a adopt placement. Here she will grow and thrive until she’s old enough for further vetting and eventual adoption.

Miss Coconut was born to momma Roxy in care with her five other siblings. So far she has a short coat and has beautiful blue eyes but she also carries linohead genetics so may yet develop some more fluff. This smart little girl is cute as a button and has now arrived to her foster to adopt home. Here she’ll continue to grow and thrive when she awaits further vetting and eventual adoption.

Sir Waffles was born to mom Roxy and was the only baby of the six who looked like his momma. He has a smoother coat then some of his siblings though he does still have lionhead genetics so who knows if he’ll develop some mane as he grows. This little boy is cautious but curious and has now been weaned. He now has a foster to adopt placement where he can continue to grow in confidence and be loved until he’s old enough for further vetting and eventual adoption.

Oof, this tiny lady has grown into the cutest little fluffball. Born in care from momma Roxy’s litter of six this girl has changed a lot as she’s grown. Tini was lucky enough to find a foster to adopt placement already where she will get to grow up with her family until she’s old enough for her vetting and future adoption.

Squee, this little girl is just a rockstar. Born from Roxy’s litter of six, she is a stunning little lady with beautiful markings. She has a smooth coat so far but may yet develop some lionhead fluff from her dad in the future. She has now been weaned and is settling into her foster to adopt placement while we wait until she’s old enough for the rest of her vetting.

Theo came in from an outdoor hoarding case with a couple other young rabbits. This boy is so sweet despite what he’s gone through and will make an amazing family member once he’s finished his vetting.

He has now found a foster to adopt home where he is happily decompressing and getting to know his new family.

Somebody get this little lady a hair bow! Born to momma Roxy this broken blue little girl has just grown fluffier and fluffier as she’s aged. She is just adorable and super curious about the world around her. Now that she has been weaned, she has found a foster to adopt placement where she can continue to grow and thrive until she’s old enough for further vetting and eventual adoption.

(Bonded Senior Female pair)

Muffin and Princess came in as longtime ferals from the Dresden area. These ladies bonded outside where they relied on each other for safety and comfort. They have remained bonded in the rescue and will find their new home together.

Both of these ladies are learning to trust people again and are adjusting well to the comforts of indoor living. They have both now been spayed but will be waiting a little longer to recover before they are vaccinated. They are now in a foster to adopt home where they will be cherished.

Miss Roxy was brought in with another rabbit(Ozzy) from an unsafe outdoor housing situation. Though the two were not a bonded pair they must have been together at least briefly because Roxy was quite pregnant when she came into care.

She gave birth to her litter of 6 healthy kits on April 14th and was an excellent momma. Roxy’s babies have now flown the coop and she has moved to her own foster to adopt home where she can be the center of attention while she awaits her turn for vetting.
