Sweetie’s Rescue

Taking A Stand for Abandoned Rabbits since 2018. We are a small foster based rescue that specialize in rescuing stray, dumped or abandoned domestic rabbits. We also strive to bring more awareness about spaying, neutering and uterine cancer in rabbits.

Adopting is one of the best things you can do.

When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving rabbit a home. You’re also reducing the demand for hoarding and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare. All adoptable rabbits available have been vet checked, neutered/spayed and are vaccinated for RHDV2. Plus they have spent time in our care so we have a good idea of their individual personalities to help you find the right bun for your family.

Not ready to adopt but still want to help?

Join the Sweetie’s rescue team. Not everyone one is ready or able to adopt a rabbit and we understand that. There are still lots of ways you can help out the rabbits and support our team. Transportation, Fostering, Donating, Volunteering and much more. It all helps.

Our Sanctuary Buns

  • Luna is a small senior bun who came into the rescue with advance uterine cancer. Her spay was able to remove most of the cancer but not all of it. So given the prognosis and her age this sweet girl is in a palliative care foster home.
  • She is 2.5 years old and has been with the rescue since just 2 weeks old. Rue is a sweet girl who loves pets, munching on the occasional banana, and a good nap! We love you Rue!
  • Phoenix is approx 3 years old and was found outside very scared, with reports of him surviving up to a year outside! It has taken a lot of time for him to begin to trust again, but worth it. We are totally in love with him!
  • She is approx 4 years old and has been with the rescue since birth. Kala is as quite shy and a high anxiety rabbit. But loves pets once she gets to know people. She’s not a picky eater at all. We love you Kala!
  • Sophia is a sweet senior girl who has been with the rescue since November 2021. We love you Sophia.
